Hello to all my newbies couponers. I am going to give you my best advice on the first things you need to do to start out as a new couponer. What a lot of people don't realize is that the coupons come in your local Sunday paper and you can also print from a website Coupons.com This site has numerous coupons that you print from you home computer and you take these with you to the store as you would your regular manufacturer coupons.
1. First thing to do when starting out is buy your Sunday paper weekly. I always say buy a few extra papers because you always want to have multiple coupons for certain products.
2. Get a coupon organizer or binder. (which ever is best for you to organize) If you purchase a binder you will need to purchase baseball card holders to keep your coupons organized and separated. You can buy these things at Walmart, Target or even Dollar stores.
3. Make sure you have a CVS card or a Walgreens card so that you can emjoy the extra savings and discounst. CVS offers Extra Care Bucks that used like cash & print out after your transactions if you purchase items that offer Extra Care Bucks back (Extra Care Bucks are often calls ECB's) and Walgreens offere Register Rewards that you use just the same but they don't print out. The are linked to your phone number.
4. When you are going through your local Sunday paper make sure you keep the ads for Walgreens & CVS so that you can keep up with what sales are going on and to match your coupons up with them.
5. I've learned that with certain stores their coupon policy changes quite often so it's nice to check online and read their policies before you head out to shop.
6. Majority of stores especially target only allow you to use 4 like coupons in the same transaction. This means if you are buying 4 8 bottles of Pantene shampoo and you have a coupon for each one, you will have to do two transactions, and 4 on each one.
7. Always read the ads before you go shopping and write down the thing you are going to buy and how many coupons you will use. This will eliminate the process in the store when you are having to search for your coupons. By doing this, I feel that you are more organized once you get to the store.
8. Follow my social media sites to constantly keep you updated on the new deals. I am going to ad to this as much as I can, but for now I wanted to give the new couponers something to start with and welcome you to my Blog.
Keep up with my YouTube for daily videos that can also help you out more. I know this may not be much, I wanted to give you something to get you started. I promise to come back with more. ~Toni
